Brigitte Bardot exhibition in Paris

For my Birthday we went 3 days to Paris, I wanted to be in a romantic city for the occasion but I must admit my main motif to go to Paris was that there is the huge and wonderful exhibition of Brigitte Bardot in honor of her 75 th birthday.
She's born on 28 September and I'm 28 January.

The exhibition was filled with photos, movie posters, movie stills and BB memorabilia.
There was a (more or less) repro of Brigitte's bedroom from her teen years complete with the perfume she wore in those days : 'L'heure bleue' de Guerlain.
She later stayed loyal to Guerlain but changed perfume to 'Shamade', my perfume too now.
Brigitte owned her great posture and slender body also to her numerous years of ballet dancing, her tutu's were exhibited and photos of her dancing as a child too.
Brigitte wanted to become "une danseuse étoile", a dance star! She never thought of becoming an actress but fate had decided a different path then dance for beautiful Brigitte. By reading her biography I had the impression that she didn't enjoy acting and in fact she stopped acting in 1974.

The photo-booth that didn't work..sniff

Brigitte appeared in many magazines worldwide.
With Jackie, Marilyn and Diana she is the most photographed woman on the planet.

The Scandalous life of BB

I love these magazines with BB, in fact I am a proud owner of the one on the right!

Viva Maria! If you haven't seen it, do it now!

Being a big fan of Brigitte I have seen many of her movies of course but have discovered through this exhibition that there are many more I haven't seen.. yet!

One of the three bikes used for the video "Harley Davidson"

Brigitte and Sylvie Vartan ,another Sixties icon!

The Paco Rabanne dress owned and worn by Brigitte!

Statue of Brigitte as the "Marianne" of France!

A beautiful collection of Brigitte memorabilia, again, I am the VERY proud owner of a Brigitte Wall head, thank you Nina!!

The Brigitte Bardot bikini, I saw one once at a Vintage fair, lord knows why I didn't buy it!! My friend Sparkle Moore owns one!

Brigitte also did a lot of commercials like for Velo Solex, Karting trousers, Lux soaps, Dior perfumes in 1952, Yamaha motos, The 'Floride' car of Renault, Tod's, 'Woupie' chocolats with inside images of famous faces like The Beatles, Sylvie Vartan and of course Brigitte.

And that was it folks! Did you enjoy your trip in Bardotland ? I am a big fan as you have noticed because the woman did and doesn't care about what she should and should not be doing. She uses her fame today to help animals and I think that is very honorable. Viva BRIGITTE!
