I just finished reading Jean Shrimpton's autobiography.
Jean was a country side girl living on a farm with lots of animals around her.
She met David Bailey, the cockney photographer from East London and they became lovers for years, working together for Vogue. Jean became part of the most beautiful couple in the Sixties when she met Terence Stamp, the gorgeous actor. She spend her glamorous time between London, New York and Los Angeles. Sadly life wasn't fun for long with Terence and after three years she left him. After other lovers Jean felt it was time for her to go back to her roots and bought a hotel from 1600 in Wales and ran it with her last husband with whom she had a child.
Amazing how she lived the most glamorous life ever, saw amazing places, met very rich and fashionable people yet went back to a simple kind of life and even encountering money problems along the way.
Jean was the most beautiful English girl next door model of the Sixties and we love her for that!
